  • Reach & Drop: Maintains the same 80 mm reach and nearly identical drop as the stock S5 handlebar.

  • Ease of Replacement: Riders can adapt quickly without needing a new stem, minimizing adjustment time.

  • Ergonomic Enhancement: Lower hand positions were refined with ergonomic shaping for improved comfort and grip.


Upper vs. Lower Hand Position Dynamics

  • Width Differentiation: Narrower 360 mm top and wider 400 mm drop provide sprint stability and reduce hand interference in aggressive positions.

Weight & Stiffness

  • Weight Savings: Compared to the original S5 bar, the EXS version saves ~40 g. When paired with the EXS 3D-printed titanium out-front mount, the advantage extends up to ~65 g.

  • Engineering Choice: Tube walls could be further thinned for more savings (1020 g), but stiffness and aerodynamic performance were prioritized over extreme weight reduction.
